It is proposed to hold a first year hurling blitz on FRIDAY, 21st OCTOBER. It will run from 12 noon to 2pm on that date. Venues and format will be decided when the entries are received. If your school is interested in hosting a blitz, please let me know and it can be arranged accordingly. Teams will be 15 or 13 a side to suit the format at each venue. The blitz is confined to schools entered intoin juvenile “A”, “B” and “C” hurling competitions.The emphasis is on participation, game time and enjoyment and there are no trophies / medals.
Your school is invited to enter a team /s into the blitz. It is important that you can establish that your school will be present on this date as team withdrawals in the days leading up to the blitz can greatly disrupt it on the day.

NOTE: The next first year football blitz will probably take place on Thursday, 27th October (TBC). Details of it will be e-mailed to schools next week
