Our minor hurlers exited the championship rather tamely at Croke Park. They more than held their own in the first half and were leaders for most of it. They played really well and were the better team in most departments. They conceded a goal in the 30th minute and obviously it had a bad effect on the team. They were a different team in the second half and were beaten in all areas. As usual we hope some of these young men will progress to our u-20 and senior teams. They are Leinster minor champions and well done to all for that. Best of luck to our senior camogie team who play Galway in the All-Ireland quarter final in Páirc Uí Chaoimh next Saturday at 7.15pm. They are having an open training session on Thursday August 2nd at 7pm at DCU. Come along and watch the girls training session and then get your jersey or hurley signed or get a photo with your favourite players. A speedy recovery to Miriam Twomey who got a cruciate injury in the first minute of the Tipperary game.
