What a great win over Tipperary in the league quarter final last Saturday. I am told the last time Dublin defeated Tipperary at senior level was in the 1940’s. There were great performances all over the field, Eamon Dillon scoring 1-3, Sean Moran scoring 5 points and of course that wonderful point by full back Eoghan O’Donnell. So well done Mattie and team. Next Sunday we play Limerick in the semi-final at 1.30pm at Nowlan Park. We will run buses as usual. Buses will depart Connolly Station at 10.30 am and Rathcoole Village AT 11am. To book a seat text name and pick up point to 0877205887 no later than 6pm on Thursday. The return fare is €10 for fodh members, €15 for non-members and €5 for juveniles. Dublin have a very good record in recent years in their games with Limerick and I expect a very close game on Sunday and Dublin to repeat last Saturday’s performance. We will wait for the Waterford v Galway game.
Round 2 of the club hurling league games are fixed for Sunday morning at 10.30am. It doesn’t leave much time for club players to make Nowlan Park for 1.30pm. Hopefully clubs might, by arrangement with Parnell Park, play the games earlier or on Saturday. It is so important that as much support as possible is in Nowlan Park on Sunday. The players and management deserve our support.
