Craobh Chiaráin 1-12 Crumlin 1-7
Craobh Chiaráin recorded a five-point victory over Crumlin in the Dublin AHL Division 1 final played in Kiltipper Road on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-7. In doing so, the Donnycarney side gained a measure of revenge after being knocked out of the championship at the q-final stage by Crumlin in 2008.
Craobh started very well and Ger Ennis was denied a goal from close range in the second minute by Philip Murphy in the Crumlin goal. The resultant “65” was pointed by Alan McCrabbe, who had played with Leinster the previous day in their victory over Ulster. Others to impress for the “Craobh” were Keith Elliot at mid-field, Kevin Warren , Ger Ennis and John Kingston in attack, while Derek O Reilly was dominant in the defence.
