CRAOBH CHIARÁIN 1-16 ST BRIGID’S 2-9
Craobh had to hold off a late St Brigid’s rally before emerging with a well merited victory in this Evening Herald Dublin SHC ‘A’ Group A clash at Russell Park on Wednesday night.
A purple patch in the first half paved the way for the Donnycarney side’s victory with a James Ryan goal and flurry of points with Ryan, Alan McCrabbe, and Ger Ennis on target gave them a 1-9 to 0-7 lead. It was an advantage they had stretched to nine points following excellent scores from Peter O’Boyle and Ennis before a brace of Cian O’Mahony goals gave the home side renewed hope in the dying minutes.
