While David Treacy was starring for Dublin in Nowlan Park yesterday his father John was on the sideline with the Dublin senior camogie team. The Dublin girls were playing Derry in the first league outing and had a good win with a score of 1-11 to 0-3. John was very involved on the sideline and was getting the scores from Nowlan from spectators. Needless to say he was overjoyed when the final score came through from Kilkenny. David scored 11 points on the day and was voted man of the match. His mum Fiona was in Nowlan Park to support him. Another family had divided loyalties on the day. Martin and Josephine Kelly were at the camogie game to support their daughter Michelle who captained the Dublin second team who drew with Roscommon in their first league outing. Meanwhile down in Nowlan Park Michelle’s brother Peter was starring at centre back. A great day for Dublin hurling and camogie.
