Dublin GAA yearbook is on the book shelves! 19/12/2013

The Dublin GAA yearbook is on the shelves – its 250 pages comprehensively covers the year coming to a close in Dublin GAA. 

And what a year it was for Dublin fans with the senior footballers capturing the Sam Maguire for the second time in three years and the senior hurlers defeating both of last year’s All-Ireland SHC finalists, Kilkenny and Galway, on the way to being crowned Leinster champions for the first time since 1961.

Both senior managers, Jim Gavin and Anthony Daly, reflect on the year in interviews with Cian Murphy (The Sun) and Seán McGoldrick (Sunday World) as well as a host of interesting player interviews with Johnny McCaffrey (Gordon Manning, The Sun), Michael Darragh Macauley (Frank Roche, The Herald), David O’Callaghan (Cian Murphy, The Sun), Niall Corcoran (Frank Roche, The Herald), Paul Schutte (Colm Mac Sealaigh), Dean Rock (Conor McKeon, The Herald), Ciarán Kilkenny (Sinead Ryan, TV3) among others.

The yearbook also includes a tribute to the late, great Kevin Hefferan by his close friend Dermot O’Malley.

The publication is full of colour snaps of both senior football and hurling panels as well as a host of star players in the Heroes of the Hill feature throughout.

There are also Ladies Football, Camogie, Handball, Cumann na mBunscol and Club features telling the story of 2013 in the capital (price €15).
