Dublin South juvenile hurlers recorded a memorable victory when overcoming famed Kilkenny school, St Kieran’s College, in the Leinster juvenile “A” hurling league final played in Athy on Wednesday, 25th April. Having narrowly defeated Dublin North in the semi-final, the “South” battled bravely in a closely fought encounter to win on a scoreline of 4-12 to 4-3. The scores were level at half time and early pressure from the Dubs in the second period saw them go into a three point lead. However, a goal from Kieran’s at the three quarter stage of the game levelled the score again. The Dubs reasserted their dominance and created numerous scoring chances to close out the game as a contest in the final fifteen minutes.
Well done to all concerned with this win.
