Dublin’s final game against Kilkenny is at Parnell Park on Sunday. Both sides need to win and even a win for Dublin doesn’t guarantee not having to play a relegation play-off. There are a few scenarios on Sunday:
1. For Dublin to make the quarter finals they need to beat Kilkenny, Cork to lose to Tipp and Waterford and Clare to draw. Both Dublin and Cork would be on four points but Dublin won the head to head so they would qualify.
2. If Dublin win but Clare and Waterford don’t draw then Dublin will meet Kilkenny again in the relegation match. In the event of three teams ending up on the same points total then score difference counts and Dublin are struggling in that department.
3. If Dublin lose then they will play in a relegation playoff against Waterford, Clare or Cork depending on their results.
So all eyes and ears will be on all games on Sunday.
Good luck to our team.
