ST BRIGIDS 2-14 ST VINCENTS 2-10
Brigid’s added the scalp of Vinnies to that of the Craobh as they progressed to the semi-finals of the Evening Herald Dublin SHC ‘A’ at Parnell Park on Friday night.
Once again it was a strong opening half that put the Russell Park men on the path to victory.
Brigids led 2-9 to 0-5 at the interval – Paddy McAvinue, from a free just inside his own half scored their first goal in the 11th minute when the sliotar found it’s way all the way to the net.
Just before the break Kieran Kellet grabbed the second with a fine finish.
The eventual winners had moved 11 points clear before Dublin footballer Diarmuid Connolly hit the first of his two second half goals.
Two minutes from time he got his second but Brigid’s were on their way to the last-four.
