Although being down to 14 men for most of the second half, Wicklow got their campaign off to a winning start in Swords.
However, led by nine-point Jonathan O’Neill, a hungrier Wicklow took control.
O’Neill, Mark Collins and Joe Murphy pointed to extend the lead to four, while Emmet McCabe‘s free couldn’t stem the tide for the hosts. O’Neill completed the job with a free and two fine points from play.
