Fingal senior hurlers first outing in the National Hurling League against Tyrone was postponed due to the inclement weather. Louth provide the opposition on Sunday for the game in Swords and the hosts have a number of injury worries going into this game.
Eoin Power (N Mearnóg) suffered a dead leg while playing with UCD in a Fitzgibbon Cup game against LIT earlier in the week. It is hoped that speedy forward, John M Sheridan (St Maur’s) will be recovered from recent illness to play.
Fingal have had a busy January with games in the Keogh Cup against Louth and DCU and challenge games against Meath, Armagh and Garda College. Despite a victory over Louth in the Keogh Cup, it is expected that the “Wee” county will be at full strength for Sunday’s encounter as they attempt to repeat their Nicky Rackard Group win in 2008 over Fingal.
The Fingal v Tyrone match has been re-fixed for Sunday, 8th March in Omagh.
