It is a pity that our hurlers were not able to reproduce their first half performance against Waterford. They could easily have been six points up at half time and Waterford may not have been able to catch up. Now we head to Clare who also have only two points and the winners could possibly be in a quarter final and the losers in a relegation battle. We will run a bus for our supporters as usual. The bus will depart Connolly Station at 10am and Rathcoole Village at 10.30am. The fare is €10 for members and €15 for non-members. To book a place text your name and pick up point to 0872331983 no later than 6pm on Thursday March 9th. Membership can be purchased on the bus. We will have our AGM at Parnell Park on Monday March 13th at 7.30pm. Please come and support us and Dublin hurling. To celebrate Cuala’s great achievement Friends of Dublin Hurling will offer two tickets to the finals on March 17th for the next two weeks. To be in with a chance answer the following question: Only one other Dublin Club won a Leinster senior club final. Name that club. Text your answer and name to 0872331983 by Wednesday March 15. 230 supporters have signed up for 2017. Only those who were signed up members in 2016 and those who sign up for 2017 will receive regular texts etc from now on. All those who sign up before March 30th will be in a draw for a 32 inch television plus all the other benefits of membership – eg. subsidised trips to away games, monthly members draw, regular text messages etc. To sign up visit www.fodh.ie. We will also be selling memberships at Dublin’s last league game v Kilkenny on Sunday March 26th. Good luck to our senior camogie team who have a difficult assignment away to All-Ireland champions Kilkenny next Sunday.
