Our senior hurlers are out of the championship after losing to Tipperary. The final score doesn’t tell the real story. Dublin played well and battled back to level scores at 1-4 each. But as happened all year a series of bad mistakes – mainly short puck outs and needless short hand passes- made the job very easy for Tipp. While it has been a very poor year overall still all isn’t lost as a few young players have made their mark and hopefully will get better and better as they mature. Cork have three nineteen year olds on their successful team. It is now up to our County Board to move fast and make a decision on the next manager so that he has time to see as many club matches as possible. Well done to our senior camogie team who defeated Waterford on Saturday and are now on the verge of qualifying for the quarter final. They play Kilkenny in their last game but eyes will be on the Glaway v Clare game as a win for Galway will mean Dublin are through irrespective of the Kilkenny result.
