There is a great buzz in Dublin hurling circles at the moment. Even pundits who seldom show any respect for Dublin hurling are beginning to admit that we have a decent team. Dublin now await the winners of the Joe McDonagh Cup at Croke Park next Sunday. It will be an away game for the Dubs on Sat/Sun July 6/7. This will be a tough assignment for the Dubs but hopefully they should be able to come through. In that event they will face the losers of the Munster final between Limerick and Tipp. That game will be played on Sat/Sun July 13/14. The venue should be a neutral one even though Dublin had to play Tipperary in the past in Thurles. Three weeks rest will give the injured players a chance to recover. We will run buses to all games and full details next week.
Our u-20’s play Offaly at Parnell Park this Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Leinster championship and the winners are away to Wexford a week later. Our senior camogie team played extremely well and pushed Waterford all the way eventually losing by 6 points. They have a free weekend now and will welcome All-Ireland champions Cork to Dublin the following weekend. Crumlin GAA are running an u-15 hurling Skills competition on Sunday July 28th in memory of the great Jim Boggan.
