We had a very busy weekend of hurling games. While there were no major shocks a few clubs showed early form like Craobh Chiaran, St. Judes, Na Fianna, Faughs and Whitehall Colmcille. Conal Keaney came on as a sub for Ballyboden in the second half and looked impressive and hopefully will be available to the Dubs in a few weeks. Round two takes place in a weeks time and teams who lost the first game will be anxious to get a win otherwise their championship is over in April which is not really on. Why would clubs train during the Summer if they are out of the championship in April? This is done to accommodate the county team.
