Our senior hurlers turned in another good performance v Clare at Ennis yesterday but unfortunately came away empty handed. Last week they failed to put away Waterford when coasting in the first half. Yesterday they were leading until the last minute. On the positive side this is a very young side and no Dublin team in the past ten years came away from Ennis with a win. So they can keep their heads up. They now face Kilkenny and even a win will not keep them from playing in the relegation play-off. Interestingly, if they beat Kilkenny they will meet them again in the play-off. If they lose their opponents could be Waterford, Clare or Cork. All roads lead to Croke Park on Friday to support our Cuala hurlers in their bid to be the first Dublin club team to win the All-Ireland club final. They will need to be at their very best to beat a very strong Ballyea team. We wish them luck. The winners of our special competition’ Supporting Cuala’ will be announced on Wednesday and arrangements will be made to pass on the tickets. Thanks to all those who entered the competition. Congrats to St Fintans High School who have qualified for the All-Ireland Colleges final.
