Congrats to Cuala on the 4th County title in 5 years. It is a wonderful achievement and we wish them well now as they head to Carlow on Sunday week to play the Carlow champions.
Well done also to Scoil UÍ Chonaill who will represent Dublin now in the Leinster Intermediate championship where they will meet Bray Emmetts, the Wicklow champions. Well done also to St. Vincents who won the Junior B final and to St. Judes who won the Junior C final
The u-21 hurling championship kicks off this Saturday. See today’s Herald for all the fixtures. Just have a look at the number of games for u.8’s to u 12’s run by CCC1 at 10am on Saturday morning. It is impressive and well done to the organising committee and club mentors. If you haven’t done so yet pay a visit to your local club on Saturday morning. No wonder Dublin hurling is prospering.
The Senior Camogie final takes place on Sunday at Abbottstown at 2pm. St. Judes shocked St. Vincents in the final last year so they meet again on Sunday and no doubt The Vinnies will try and regain the title.
We are now getting ready for our big night at The Red Cow Moran Hotel on Friday November 29th. We honour players, schools and clubs who we believe are working hard to promote hurling. Today we will name the school and club winners and next week we will release the 3 players and the following week we will name our Hall of Fame winner. So our school and club winners are:
Primary School: Divine Mercy, Balgaddy, Lucan.
2nd Level School: St. Declan’s, CBS, Cabra
Juvenile Club: Geraldine Patrick Moran’s
Adult club: Naomy Barróg.
They will receive a set of jerseys with the Fodh logo, compliments of O’Neills Sports.
