Fodh News Thursday Feb 21st.
It was one of those days when all our teams came out at the wrong end. DCU were so unlucky when they lost to UCC after a last minute penalty deprived them of a deserved win. Our seniors lost to Galway but they are continuing to impress. We had a full bus load of supporters. It was great to see Jimmy Gray back supporting the Dubs again after his illness. Sunday’s game at home to Waterford will be a real test. Dublin North had to give way to a very strong St.Kieran’s team in the semi-final. Our senior camogie team lost to Limerick and they now head to Ennis next Sunday in their final game and a win is badly needed.
Annual General Meeting.
Congratulations to Humphrey Kelleher who has replaced Michael O’Grady as secretary. Paul Torsney and Rob Griffin have joined the committee for the coming year.
Comhghairdeas Coláiste Eoin. They were playing St. Kieran’s College today at 12 midday at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise in the Leinster Colleges Hurling Final. The last stand- alone Dublin school to do that was St. Joseph’s Fairview in 1955. They are still in the Leinster Colleges football competition.Fodh presented them with a €500 cheque to help them prepare for the final. Well done all concerned.
