KILKENNY 1-21 DUBLIN 0-11
Kilkenny added the Leinster intermediate hurling title to the senior and minor they captured last weekend when outclassing Dublin’s inter side at Nowlan Park on Wednesday night.
A Bill Beckett goaled in the third minute put the hosts on the road to a clearcut victory while the accuracy of Eoin Guinan ensured that the Dubs were always playing catch-up.
Inside the last ten minutes of the opening half the Cats led 1-10 to 0-2 but Dublin closed the gap with three points before the interval.
Dublin keeper Alan Nolan had a second half penalty saved but there was only going to be one winner.
