Dublin play Laois in the quarter-final of the Leinster MHC in Portlaoise on Saturday @ 3pm. The winners of this tie will meet Wexford in Wexford Park in the semi-final. Having been well beaten by Wexford in Round 1 of the championship, minor Dublin manager Martin McKenna is looking for a big performance from his charges against Laois.
“We underperformed against Wexford the last day ” said McKenna ” but we are now looking to put that right. The lads have trained well since the defeat and are now looking forward to Saturday’s game”. The fact that the winner will meet Wexford in the semi-final has added an extra motivation to this tie for the Dublin players.
“Everybody is looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we will have good support travelling. We know what we have to do and everybody is focussed on the task at hand” said McKenna.
