Minor hurlers too strong for Kilkenny 26/04/2014
Two first half goals helped Dublin book their spot in the provincial semi-finals with this impressive victory over Kilkenny in the Electric Ireland Leinster MHC at Nowlan Park, Kilkenny on Saturday afternoon.
Chris Bennett and Con O’Callghan were on the mark in the opening half as Pat Fanning’s lads opened up a 2-3 to 0-1 advantage by the interval.
Kilkenny tried to muster a challenge on the restart but were met by strong Dublin defence with Shane Howard and Paul O’Dea to the fore while goalkeeper Jonathan Treacy pulled off one excellent save to deny the Cats.
But Dublin were not going to be stopped with points from Ryan McBride and Matthew Oliver helping their side to an impressive 11-point victory.
