For the past three years, regional club teams have participated in the Dublin senior hurling club championship. There are many different viewpoints on the merits of this development. The following is one viewpoint that has been expressed:
“Is it not time now to end this involvement of regional teams in the senior hurling championship. In 3 years they have made little or no impact in the championship and have suffered some bad beatings by the club sides. if this continues it will weaken the standard of senior club hurling at a time when more competitive games are required. Neither will it help the inter county management if they are forced to watch sub standard club games“
