Dublin forward Liam Rushe sustained an ankle injury followiing a collision in training on Friday night last. Initially it was feared that he had broken his ankle, but it appears that the damage was limited to serious bruising. Dublin have already had to deal with the loss of corner back, Oisín Gough, who sustained a broken thumb in the Leinster u-21 defeat to Kilkenny and he will definitely miss the quarter-final clash against Limerick.
On a more positive note, centre back Ronan Fallon contines to make a recovery from a foot injury. The St Vincent’s player made a competitive return in a recent challenge game against Offaly. However, next week’s q-final against Limerick may come too soon for him as he has been forced to miss serious match action since he sustained the injury against Kilkenny in the league.
