Dublin centre forward Liam Ryan is almost certainly out of the Leinster SHC semi-final against Wexford on Sunday. The O’Toole’s man has been unable to fully take part in training since aggravating a calf injury in the q-final fixture against Antrim. Ross O’Carroll, the player most likely to replace Ryan is also unavailable due to a recent operation to remove his appendix.
Kevin Flynn replaced Ryan in the Antrim game and scored a point from play as well as setting up a number of scores for the forwards and is a possible starter on Sunday. Peter Kelly from Lucan Sarsfields will have impressed Anthony Daly and his selectors when scoring four points from play in the recent u-21 defeat of Wexford in the Leinster semi-final. All will be revealed when the Dubs management announces the team for Sunday’s game later this week.
