Subject: Re: U 21 final at Thurles on September 10th
Crazy – hurling under lights should only be absolute last resort. It’s too dangerous for players and unfair to spectators low down near sideline – sliothar keeps disappearing. Even a sunny September evening in Thurles at that hour is a lottery with Sun low in sky – pure daft.An All Ireland hurling final should be afforded proper status – mid afternoon with natural light and family friendly for trip home. Anybody(like me) thinking of using convenience of train may forget about it as you’re not back in town til nearly midnight by which time buses have stopped.Reckon powers that be could be convinced to consider “common sense” ?
