Dublin 4-11
Tipperary 2-19
Three goals from David Treacy on his NHL debut for Dublin were not enough to steer his side to victory against Tipperary in the Allianz NHL game played in Thurles. Tipp scored 2-10 in the opening half and two goals from the Cuala player in that half saw the Premier county leading by 2-10 to 2-5 at half-time.
Dublin began to play with more purpose in the second half and after eleven minutes had levelled the scores. A goal on 51 minutes from corner forward David O’Callaghan put the Dubs two points in front on a score of 4-9 to 2-13. The sides were level on two further occasions before Tipp sub Tony Scroope scored a late point and set up another for Noel McGrath.
Dublin will face Clare in Parnell Park next Sunday and then travel to Kilkenny for the final league game against the All-Ireland champions.
