Conal Keaney was Dublin’s top-scorer but his two first half goals could not stop the Dubs from losing to Waterford in a senior hurling challenge at a blustery Castlecomer on Sunday.
The Dubs played against the elements in the opening half but goals from Keaney (two) and Barry Connolly had Anthony Daly’s men level 1-7 to 3-1 at the break.
Both sides made lots of changes in the second period as the Déise powered on to victory. Dublin sub Colm Cronin hit three points from play in his introduction.
