Trip to Tipp.
Our hurlers head to Thurles on Saturday for round 3 of the league. Hopefully the weather will be somewhat better than last weekend. Again, this is a real test for our team but they are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment having been unbeaten in seven games to date. We are running buses to the game so get texting before 5pm this evening. For those of you who cannot go then it will be on GAAgo.
Buses to Thurles on Saturday next
The buses will depart Connolly Station at 13.50 and Rathcoole Village at 14.20. To book a seat text your name and pick up point to 0877205887 no later than 5pm Wed Feb 23.If you intend travelling by train be aware that on the return journey the train will stop at Portlaoise and you will be put on a bus for the remainder of the journey. There will be plenty of time to get some food before the game.
Camogie:
Our senior camogie team had a tough game against All-Ireland champions Galway last Saturday. Next Saturday they travel to play Offaly. It is hard to believe but there is no venue fixed for this game yet. The sooner the merger of camogie and ladies football with the GAA takes place the better.
Davie Fitz introduced himself to the camogie world by getting sent off in his first game last Sunday.
Memberships
Thanks to all those who signed up recently. We will be selling memberships on the bus on Saturday and at Parnell Park on Saturday week for their game v Kilkenny.
Club Games.
Round one of our club games takes place this weekend. It is disappointing at times to see such small numbers supporting the club teams. You can check fixtures on hill16 or on the Tuesday edition of the Herald.
Div One games on Sunday are:
Crokes v Balinteer, Barrog v Ballyboden, Faughs v Cuala, Whitehall v Na Fianna, Craobh v Vincents , Lucan v Brigids.
Bain taitneamh as an deireadh seachtaine. Seachain an ghaoth.
