WHO WILL JOIN KILKENNY IN ALL-IRELAND HURLING FINAL?
Kilkenny are safely through to the GAA Hurling All-Ireland senior championship final for a sixth successive year and now its the turn of Dublin and Tipperary to battle it out for the right to join them in the final on September 4.
They meet in Croke Park on Sunday (3.30pm) while the minor semi-final between Dublin and Waterford will open the action at 1.30pm.
Tipperary, the defending All-Ireland champions, are bidding to reach the final for a third successive year while Dublin last reached the final in 1961 where they lost to
Tipperary.
Kilkenny had six points to spare over Waterford (2-19 to 1-16) to book a place in a sixth successive final and their 12th in 14 seasons. Now, they await the clash between Tipperary, the defending All-Ireland champions and Dublin, who are attempting to reach the final for the first time since 1961.
Tipperary are seeking to reach the final for a third successive year.
Dublins last appearance in an All-Ireland semi-final was in 1948 (they advanced directly to the final as Leinster champions in 1961) when they beat Antrim.
