Club and Community behind Pieta House
The Clanna Gael Fontenoy club, the communities of Ringsend, Irishtown and Sandymount and local politicians have formed a united team behind the “Darkness into Light” walk for Pieta House which starts and finishes at our club house in Sean Moore Park in the early hours of Saturday morning (6th May). Some 2,000 are expected to participate.
Working closely with the Ringsend Organising Committee of community activists, Clanna Gael Fontenoy will be opening up the club facilities to the participants and providing volunteers to help ensure a successful event.
“Darkness into Light” is the main fund raiser for Pieta House (www.pieta.ie ), a charity which raises awareness of self-harm and suicide and enables them to provide life-saving support to people in need.
Politicians unite behind the Ringsend Organising Committee and Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA Club in support of the “Darkness into Light” walk for Pieta House on May 6th. L to R: Councillor Chris Andrews (Sinn Fein and Organising Committee member), Deputy Jim O’Callaghan (Fianna Fail), Minister Eoghan Murphy (Fine Gael), Senator Kevin Humphreys (Labour) together with Ella Thirroueiz and Claire Byrne (Clanna Gael Fontenoy and Dublin minor footballers)
