What a great performance by the footballers in defeating Kerry in a classic All-Ireland final. This team deserve all the accolades for all the lean years and the hard luck stories. The lesson is obvious- if at first you dont succeed try and try again. Well done lads. The Friends of Dublin Hurling salute you.
Hard luck on the minor footballers in their defeat by Tipperary. There may be a lesson to be learned here also – it is next to impossible to play two different sports at inter-county level.
Congrats to John Costelloe and all his hard working staff in Parnell Park. They had a hectic Summer.
