On a dry cold afternoon in OToole park last Saturday the U21 hurlers of Naomh Fionnbarra matched the feat of the senior hurling team by winning the B championship. A man of the match performance from Ger Dodrill and a fantastic 4-6 from Dublin senior panelist Eamon ( Trollier) Dillon were the highlights of the day. A good Brigids team weakened by the absence of Conor Woodgate and Paul Winters coupled with some wasted chances when they were on top in the first 10 minutes didn’t help their cause.
This is the first U21 championship final win for the Barrs and with most of this team on their senior panel they are hoping to take the big step and have a impact on the senior A leagues and Championship this year.
