Dublin u-21 team will feel very disappointed with their overall performance against Galway in Thurles. This was a game that they could have won if they had taken their chances especially in the first half when they had the assistance of the wind. On a night when the ground was slippy there was too much short passing and balls were given away too easily. The backline was not as steady as usual and rarely delivered good ball to the full forward line. The midfield and forwards never really played to their potential and Galway grew in confidence as the game went on.
Well done to all the team and management for all their efforts and we hope to see some of the team added to Ger Cunningham’s panel for 2017.
