Dublin hurlers hit by injuries to young duo

Youngsters Paul Schutte and Danny Sutcliffe have emerged as injury concerns for Dublin ahead of their Leinster SHC campaign.
Both players sustained injuries during the latest round of the capital’s Senior Hurling Championship, with Cuala clubman Schutte the main worry.
The talented defender damaged his knee during Cuala’s 1-18 to 1-9 win over Lucan Sarsfields at Parnell Park last Saturday.
Schutte stood in for the injured Peter Kelly as Dublin’s full-back during the Allianz League, and has undergone an MRI scan today to find out the extent of the injury.
Dubs boss Anthony Daly is also sweating on the fitness of promising forward Sutcliffe after he broke a bone in his hand during St. Jude’s 1-10 to 1-9 victory over St. Brigid’s on Sunday.
Sutcliffe was undoubtedly Dublin’s best forward during the league run. He finished as their second top scorer with 2-15, behind free-taker Paul Ryan (1-37).
Daly’s men are back in competitive action on June 2 when they face either Laois or Carlow in a Leinster Championship quarter-final in Tullamore.
