Members of the Dublin Hurling Team will be helping launch the South Dublin Libraries Children’s Book Festival on the 5th October 2011 at 6pm. Good chance for the kids to meet the players, get some autographs, and there will be a bit of a Q&A session. If you are lucky, Richie Stakelum may even read an excerpt from the BFG!
From the programme:
“Children’s Book Festival 2011 will be launched by Mayor Caitríona Jones, on Wednesday 5th of October at 6.00pm in the County Library Tallaght.
Before our festival can commence you are invited to hurl yourself down to the County Library on Wednesday 5th October for an exciting launch event. Our guests at the launch this year have excited and entertained us all summer with displays of skill and endurance in an amateur sport that requires a professional dedication. We are delighted to welcome members of the Dublin Senior Hurling Team and their managers to our festival launch. So don your County colours and meet your sporting heroes in the County Library Tallaght. Let the games begin!”
