The Dublin South u-15 team proved victorious last weekend in the Leinster u-15 hurling tournament hosted by St Martin’s of Wexford when they were crowned Michael Foley Cup Champions. The side, managed by Ray McKenna (Ballyboden St Endas) and Denis Gorey (Kilmacud Crokes), recorded group wins over Wexford (3-6 to 1-4) and Antrim (1-10 to 0-4) before progresssing to meet Kildare in the semi-final that they won by 5-7 to 1-5. In a closely fought final, the “South” edged out South Kilkenny by 1-6 to 0-7 with Evan Flanagan saving a second half penalty.
Well done to all involved.
