DUBLIN’S minor hurling team for tomorrow’s Leinster MHC clash against Wexford in Wexford Park (3.0) contains five players who started last year’s narrow All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Clare.
Seán McClelland, Glenn Whelan, Emmet Ó Conghaile, Ciarán Kilkenny and Cormac Costello have all been included in manager, Shay Boland’s starting 15.
The team will be captained by Lucan Sarsfields’ Chris Crummey who will play alongside Jamie Desmond and Ballinteer St Johns’ Donal Gormley in a strong looking half-back line.
Kilkenny and Ó Conghaile are chosen either side of Na Fianna’s Conor McHugh in the half-forward line while St Brigid’s Paul Winters will carry a scoring threat at right corner-forward with dual player Costello in the opposite corner. Wexford have already beaten Offaly, 3-13 to 3-10, in this year’s campaign. The winners of tomorrow’s game progress to the semi-finals while the losers enter a quarter-final.
