The “Celebration of Dublin Hurling Night” will take place in the Grand Hotel, Malahide on Friday, 21st November. A number of special guest will be in attendance and the following awards will be made on the night:
- Hall of Fame Award
- Hurler of the Year
- Young Hurler of the Year
This year, Cairde Iomána Átha Cliath has added a new award – “Dublin Hurling Club of the Year”. Three clubs will be short-listed from nominations received in each category of junior, intermediate and senior clubs and the winner in each category will be announced at the event.
A club may apply ONLY in the category where its highest graded team is playing. The winning club in each category will receive a cheque for €1000. Nomination forms for this award will be forwarded to clubs in the coming weeks. Further information will appear in the Dublin GAA Supplement in the Evening Herald newspaper.
FODH members are asked to encourage their clubs to submit a nomination for this award. Members are invited to apply for a ticket to attend the event (€50 per ticket) by e-mailing your contact details to fodh@eircom.net by Saturday, 27th September.

ALL IRELAND HURLING TICKETS WINNER
A draw was made among current FODH members for a prize of two tickets to the All Ireland hurling final on 7th September. Jimmy Wren was drawn as the winner.
