First goals from Shane Stapleton and Liam Rushe put Pats on the road to victory in this Evening Herald SHC Group A clash at O’Toole Park on Saturday afternoon. Rushe got his goal in the ninth minute while the deadball accuracy of Stapleton was first class.
Seven minute before the interval Stapleton crashed a close range free to the net but points from from Stephen Kelly and Paul McAllister for the North East saw the half-time score as 2-6 to 0-3.
