Manager’s update.
We have completed our NHL League programme since we last spoke, and while we would have liked to make the Semi Finals it was still a relatively good campaign for us. However, as we all know the litmus test for all teams comes in the Championship.
Our first game is just around the corner against Laois in Parnell Park on the 16th April in what is going to be a very competitive Leinster Hurling Championship, since the league finished we are busy working away and preparation is going very well.
Thankfully the following injured players are back training with us over the last few weeks Alex Considine, Mark Schutte, Shane Barrett, Ciaran Dowling and are all progressing well.
We still have several players that are carrying injuries and we are working with the following to get them back on the pitch in the coming weeks, and while they may not all be ready for the early rounds of the championship, we hope to have them back on the pitch ASAP, notable Daire Gray, Cian O’ Sullivan, Cian Boland, Liam Rushe, Andy Dunphy and Colin Currie.
Unfortunately, Sean Currie (Shoulder Operation), Luke Walsh (Knee) and Kevin Burke (Hamstring) are all carrying significant Injuries and will miss out on this year’s championship.
Recently we have added Donnacha Ryan, Cillian Hayes, Darragh Power and Conor Donohue to our senior panel after they performed very impressively in games with the extended panel
Finally, thanks to everyone for your great support during the NHL League matches and hopefully we will see ye out in even greater numbers for the Leinster Hurling Championship matches.
