DUBLIN 1-18 WEXFORD 3-10
Dublin minor hurlers held off a storming second half comeback to progress to the Leinster MHC semi-finals after a pulsating battle at Wexford Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Dubs, playing with wind advantage, lead 0-9 to 0-1 after 13 minutes and but by the interval the Slaneysiders had closed the deficit to 0-14 to1-6 by the interval break.
Early in the second half the Dubs were awarded a penalty following a foul on Emmet O Conghaile which Ciaran Kilkenny dispatched to the net but Wexford stormed back and with ten minutes to go looked to have a winning momentum when they drew level.
However, the young Dubs showed good mettle to forge back in front with a Paul Winters and an excellent Oisin O’Rorke point, following great approach play by Cormac Costello.
