OTOOLES 2-11 ST JUDES 1-11
Two goals in quick succession at a crucial juncture in the second half saw OTooles secure their second win out of two starts in the Evening Herald Dublin SHC A Group C at Parnell Park on Thursday night.
Ten minutes from time former Dublin goalkeeper Brendan McLoughlin brilliantly dispatched a penalty high to the net and before Judes had recovered from that body blow OTooles struck for a second when sub Liam ODonoghue won a ball on the edge of the small square and set up Paul Bradshaw for their second goal.
This was a lively competitive tussle with neither side enjoying any prolonged periods of dominance. At the break OTooles led 0-5 to 0-4.
