Trinity College hurling club is hosting this year’s third level colleges’ Fitzgibbon, Ryan and Fergal Maher Cups on the weekend of Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of March.
The hosting this prestigious weekend of hurling will provide a boost to the profile of Trinity College hurling within the college and on a national level. Plans are well underway for the weekend and the organising committee is confident of organising a hugely successful weekend both on and off the field.
The Fitzgibbon Cup weekend involves all three Third Level Hurling competitions and will bring the top four colleges in each competition together for the semi finals on Friday 6th March. The final of the Fitzgibbon Cup will be held in Parnell Park on Saturday 7th March. Over 400 students will partake in the finals weekend and it is expected that over 5,000 spectators will attend the games over the weekend.
