The attendance at the game on Saturday was 3,121. The Limerick fans outnumbered the Dublin fans by about 3 to 1. It certainly did not help that a lot of club hurling games were fixed for 7pm in Dublin. Dublin and Limerick were favourites to contest the 1B final so you would wonder why club games were fixed for the same date. Parnell Park gave permission to clubs to move the games so as to accommodate players and mentors who would have liked to travel to Thurles to support the team in the final. A lot of clubs did not take up that option. This certainly would not happen in Kilkenny, Tipperary etc. Any comments?
